Our Mission & Vision
A Brief History
We are a community of Roman Catholic Priests whose primary mission is the priestly service of the International Schoenstatt Movement. Together with this movement we work towards the moral and religious renewal of the society and the mission of the Church.
About our Delegation
In the 1980s several Africans from different countries applied to join the community of the Schoenstatt Fathers in Germany. Each of them got a negative answer because it was impossible at that time for so many practical reasons. Above all, at this time the formation and everything was centralized in Germany.
Our Founder: Fr. JK
Schoenstatt is a Divine Initiative that came through the hands of Father Joseph Kentenich. Father Joseph Kentenich was born in Gymnich near Cologne, Germany, on November 16, 1885. As a youth, he recognized his calling to become a priest.
Our Spirituality
Our charism is majorly Marian, as our spiritual way of life as a community, we emphasize and encourage profound love of Mary, love of the Church, and love of the mission of Christ. The covenant of love with Mary in the Shrine is the fulcrum of our Marian spirituality. Our Marian spirituality is lived in three ways: covenant spirituality, instrument spirituality and everyday sanctity.
Our Mission
Our mission is to form a new man in a new society. And consequently bring about the renewal and transformation of the Church and the world through our covenant culture and the pedagogy of self-education inspired by our founder under the tutelage of the Blessed Mother Mary in the Shrine.
